MINUTES
November 3, 2009
We reviewed the
black and white themed potluck. Thank you so much to
everyone who came and brought food! It was so much fun!
We will be having more events like this in the future.
Save the date:
December 3rd. This will be the date of our
end of the semester banquet! Active members can attend
the banquet free of charge. Inactive members are still
strongly urged to attend but you will be expected to pay
a small fee of $5. Please come out and celebrate a great
semester in FAMD! You deserve it!
Anyone that
signed up to order a t-shirt paid twelve dollars for it
at this meeting. If you did not pre-pay for the shirt
you cannot receive one at a later date.
FGI Chicago
trip: The room of 4 had to be finalized by the end of
the nights meeting.
Candle
Fundraising Info: We are participating in the Great
Lakes Soy Candle fundraiser! The latest due date for the
money will be Thursday, December 3rd (the
night of the banquet). There will be candles and lotions
and they are both $6. All members are required to sell 4
items (minimum of $24 raised per member). This was our
top fundraiser last year so we want to top our
participation this year! Ask family, friends,
teachers-anyone!
Save the date:
Tuesday, November 24th. We will be having
our Threads Pre-show event at Wayside! We will still
have a Threads meeting that night at 8 PM and the
scratch cards will still be due that night! Don’t forget
about them!
We had two guest
speakers at this meeting. Helen from Trillium Boutique
and Brock Willsey from Vivid Braille. They both shared
very educational and interesting stories about owning
and running their own businesses. |
