Fashion Camp will be offered this summer from June 22nd through
the 27th on the campus of Central Michigan University
for high school students entering grades 9-12.
Students will be taking part in
interactive learning seminars along with hands-on
experience of the following subjects: trend forecasting,
fashion illustration, introduction to Adobe Illustrator
(CAD), sewing and textile basics, and portfolio
development.
All students will also purchase a
garment(s) at a thrift store at the start of the week
that will be refashioned by them and then shown at a
fashion show for parents on the last afternoon of camp.
The cost for the summer session is
$550, which will cover food, lodging and supplies for
the week. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required at
the time of registration. The camp is limited to 15
students.
Acceptance will be in the order of
receipt of application. A waiting list will be
established based on order of applications. Students
that cannot be accepted into the program will have their
deposit returned.
