Admission into the Teacher Education Program is competitive. Approximately 780 students are admitted annually; approximately 390 students per semester. The reason for the competitive nature of the program is that CMU wants to insure that only the highest qualified candidates, who demonstrate the potential to be excellent teachers, are admitted to the program. It is important that you review the handbook. However, the Admissions Checklist and Criteria form will get you started. If you have any questions, simply contact the Center for Student Services (CSS).
