Welcome to the Lansing Community College/Central Michigan University Elementary Teacher Education Program!

The LCC/CMU collaborative program for teacher preparation was conceptualized as a path for individuals in the greater Lansing area to become certified teacher at the elementary level.  This program was designed to provide LCC students with an option to take CMU courses in order to complete a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with an major in Integrated Science and a minor in Reading.  All courses for both LCC and CMU are delivered in the Lansing area by highly qualified faculty.  Satisfactory completion of all course and program requirements will result in the B.S. in Education degree from CMU and a recommendation for the Michigan Provisional Elementary teaching certificate.

We encourage you to take a look at the information provided to determine if the program is right for you.  Please note:  once you have perused the site and wish to start the process, it is recommended that you contact an advisor.  Feel free to call, e-mail or pick up an admission packet and the program guidelines from Sophie Jeffries at LCC or Tia Walch at CMU.
