Dr. Lewis started working at CMU:  July, 2005

In her previous life she: was the owner of Data & Survey Management Solutions (DSMS) which provided independent contracting assistance to government and educational entities, primarily in the areas of grant and program evaluation, survey administration, and data analysis and reporting.  She has 20 years of experience in higher education, including serving as the Director for Institutional Research at Saginaw Valley State University, the Associate Vice President for Student Services at Tarleton State University, and Research Associate at the University of Texas at Arlington.  Dr. Lewis started her professional career as a Hall Director at Northern Michigan University in 1983.

Her hobbies and life passions are: being involved in the community, as a volunteer and grassroots activist.  She is also an avid runner and has made it a personal goal to run a marathon in every state in the union.
