Facts about Teacher Certification In Michigan

Student Teaching

Course work to renew a
certificate and
Adding an additional major and/or minor
(endorsement):
-
contact EHS Center for
Student Services, (989) 774-3309, Ronan 204 and ask that a transcript
evaluation be processed
-
transcripts will be
needed to do this evaluation; if you attended CMU, EHS Center for Student
Services can obtain the necessary transcripts
-
the student will be
responsible for supplying EHS Center for Student Services with transcripts
from any other institution(s) attended, including
undergraduate course work
-
a letter and the
student transcripts will be sent by EHS Center for Student Services to the
major and/or minor department
-
the student's
transcripts will be evaluated by the major and/or minor department and a
program will be devised
-
a copy of the program
will be sent to the student; the program the student receives is considered
a signed major or minor and coursework must be completed from that program
-
to take coursework at
CMU, register at Graduate Studies, (989) 774-4723, Foust 100 as a non-degree
student
-
when coursework is
completed and the subject area test is completed and passed, contact EHS
Center for Student Services, (989) 774-3309, Ronan 204 for an
application to add an endorsement to an existing teaching certificate
