Temporary Vocational Authorization

  • requires a bachelor's degree; completion of a approved major or minor in an occupational area; and two years (4,000 hours) of recent and relevant work experience in an occupational area verified the 'work verification' form for each employer

  • good for 6 years for first time applicants

  • first renewal of your vocational authorization requires completion of 10 semester hours in a planned course of study since issuance of temporary vocational authorization; second renewal requires completion of a total of 18 hours in a planned course of study since issuance of the temporary vocational authorization

  • the application can be obtained by accessing the links below, contacting the EHS Center for Student Services at (989) 774-3309, or visiting Ronan 204

  • once the application is obtained, student's must work directly with the department in which their program was signed to renew the vocational authorization
