Occupational Education Certificate
To obtain an Occupational Education Certificate you must have:
- 3 years of successful teaching experience within the validity of the Temporary Vocational Authorization
- completion of 9 semester hours of professional vocational education credit approved by a sponsoring Michigan teacher education institution or an earned master's
- doctorate degree
- completed issuance of the Temporary Vocational Authorization.
An Occupational Education Certificate application can be obtained online or by contacting the EHS Center for Student Services.
Once the application is obtained, student's must work directly with the department in which their program was signed to renew the vocational authorization.
The occupational education certificate has the same validity and renewal conditions as the professional education certificate.
