CMU Midtier Program

As a secondary education student you will have your Midtier component within your major content area. The secondary Midtier course should be taken after you have been admitted into the College of Education and Human Services. It is highly recommended the Midtier course be taken during your first or second set of cohort classes.
Once you have enrolled in your secondary Midtier course, information regarding Midtier placement forms will be sent to you through your CMU global ID e-mail account. Your global ID and Blackboard will be the only means of contact. It is imperative you check your e-mail account and Blackboard for important information and due dates throughout the semester.If you do not presently use your CMU global ID please call the help desk at 774-3662 to obtain information on updating your account.
Midtier packets and required forms will be distributed to you in your Midtier class during the first week of the semester. Placement information will be available on Blackboard.
Your Midtier field placement will be within a 35-mile radius of the university. If you commute, please note that information on your placement forms when you log onto the website to complete the paperwork. A placement will be established somewhere close to your residence.
Please remember you may not obtain your Midtier hours in a district you have attended or one where you have any relatives working or attending the school.
