Preparing for Graduation
Graduation requirements are monitored by Undergraduate Academic Services . Any degree, BSinEd or BMusEd, questions should be directed to Undergraduate Academic Services, 989-774-3504, in 123 Warriner Hall.
Graduates are expected to monitor their own certification status. This can be done by reviewing page five (5) of the Student Information Sheet. Any certification question should be directed to Valerie Moutsatson, 989-774-3672, in EHS 421.
To be recommended to the Michigan Department of Education for certification along with graduation, all items on the Initial Teacher Certification Checklist must be completed. It is recommended that you review this checklist at the start of (before) the semester prior to graduation. Graduates who have not completed the requirements for certification upon graduation will not be recommended for certification and will graduate “Degree Only”.
