Anne Hornak

Anne joins the department as an Assistant Professor, after serving
in a similar position at the University of Toledo for the past three
years. She received her Ph.D. from Michigan State University in
higher, adult, and lifelong education. She also holds a master’s
degree in counseling from CMU.
Anne’s research interests are in multicultural and diversity issues
in higher education; issues of access and affordability in higher
education; community colleges; higher education/student affairs
administration and theories; and college student learning and the
transformation of teaching and learning environments in a collegiate
context.
Anne is an avid runner and completed her first triathlon this
summer. She is also interested in other outdoor activities,
including boating and jet skiing.
Anne’s primary teaching will be in higher education administration
and adult learning in a collegiate setting.
