Dan joins the department as a Professor, after serving as a faculty
member at the University of West Florida for the past seven years.
Prior to that, Dan was actively involved with programs involving
juvenile studies impacting at-risk and high-risk youngsters, one of
his primary research interests. His Ph.D. is from Michigan State
University in educational administration, from which he also holds a
master’s degree in educational administration and curriculum.
In addition to juvenile studies, Dan’s current research also focuses
on methodological practices with qualitative data analysis software.
He is actively engaged in several grants and has served as visiting
faculty at the University of Sydney and Macquarie University in
Australia.
His other interests include hiking in the woods, fishing and
kayaking, and mixing a little ornithology and botany into those
activities.
Dan’s primary teaching will be in qualitative analysis, educational
administration, and program evaluation.
