  2. Emphasis Area (15 hours)
    • EDL 645 (3) Charter School Leadership
    • EDL 651 (3) Program Review and Evaluation
    • EDL 656 (3) Public School Law
    • EDL 662 (3) School Business Administration and Facilities Management
    • EDL 663 (3) Personnel Administration
  3. Additional Courses (6 hours)
    • Selected in consultation with advisor
  4. Capstone Project (6 hours)
  5. Select either Plan A or Plan B:

    Plan A (6 hours)
    • EDL 798 (6) Thesis – completion of a thesis, including an oral examination of the thesis.
    Plan B (6 hours)
    • EDL 698 (3) Master’s Colloquium
    • EDL 699 (3) Administrative Internship
Total: 33 semester hours

  • Jim Lorenson was named Gogebic Community College president, effective July 1, 2008. This is our first CMU doctoral student to be a president.
  • Fifteen (15) Educational Leadership doctoral students and alumni received new jobs and promotions in 2007!

  • The M.A. School Principalship program is approved for administrator certification by the State of Michigan.
