Description of the
programs:
- Tuition Program: The tuition program is for three and four year old
children
from the University or community. Parents pay for their 3 or 4 year old
children to attend a four half-day per week program.
- School Readiness Program: The school readiness program is a state funded
free program for four year old children from the University or the community.
Children must qualify for the program by meeting criteria from a Michigan
Department of Education list. Children attend four half days each week.
- Head Start Program: The Head Start program is a federally funded free
program for three or four year old children from low income families.
In addition we have permission to give priority to children who have at
least one parent who is a full time CMU student. Children in this program
attend four half days each week from Monday through Thursday. Lunch is
included for this program.
Schedule:
- Children in the half-day program (Pond & Orchard) attend school
either from
8:45 am - 11:45am or 12:45 pm - 3:45 pm
- Children in the Head Start (Meadow) attend from 8:45am - 12:15pm or
12:15pm - 3:45pm.
In order for you to
have a chance to talk to your lead teacher both before you begin and at
the end of the day and to participate is setting up and cleaning up the
classroom, your scheduled time is somewhat longer than the children’s.
