Child Development

The child development program at CMU ensures training for students entering careers in elementary education, early childhood programs, and child and adolescent services.  The major is also appropriate for pre-professional training in health and mental health related fields.  All of these concentrations includes core courses in human growth and development and encourage students to connect theory and research to professional practice.

Family Studies

The family studies program at CMU helps students develop the necessary competencies to enter careers that educate and support families and their members.

Gerontology

The gerontology minor at CMU provides students with an interdisciplinary approach to late life and aging. It is the minor that enhances every major.
