Early Childhood Curriculum

The program is designed to meet the individual growth needs of each child.  Each teacher works cooperatively with parents, students, and other staff members to determine the children's level of development, needs, and interests.  Using this information, the teacher plans an individualized curriculum based on knowledge of child growth and development.

The daily program is flexible, with large blocks of time for indoor and outdoor self-selected activities.  Many opportunities for discovery, self-exploration, and creativity are offered.

The Human Growth and Development Laboratory curriculum includes the following eight development areas:
