HGDL Personnel

HGDL Staff Members work directly with the children, families, CMU students, and faculty of the HEV Department.  

Each classroom is supervised by a Teacher who has a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood along with several years experience.  Students majoring and minoring in child development also serve as volunteers, Student Assistants and as Student Teachers in the classroom.  

Each program’s unique function brings other staff to the HGDL which may include assistant Teachers, Classroom Assistants and a variety of therapists and consultants.  Working alongside classroom staff is a team of HGDL administrators who have Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degrees, as well as many years of classroom teaching experience. 

This team consists of an Associate Director,Program Assistant, Teachers and Paraprofessionals. Please feel free to talk to any team member if you have questions or concerns 

All members of the HGDL Staff are here to support children and their families, and are eager to maintain an open line of communication within the Laboratory.
